I just received my jacket a week a go and am extremely pleased! This is the real deal as issued to Air Force aircrew (I know from experience)! The leather quality and color are fabulous! I really like this jacket and am proud to wear it. I've already received several compliments on this jacket. I ordered my actual size (didn't have to go up one size as is recommended with some other A-2s) and it fits great!

i got this today and want to sleep in it i love it so much! it's real aviation history, since it iS the current issue A-2 that is supplied to the USAF...it does have an updated, more normal fit than the trim military cut pieces of ww2 A-2s, but there is no competition...i'd say get one or more of each, but in your quiver you need the current issue as an example of where the A-2 is today...this works best when ordered your exact size as it is cut a bit roomier than a military cut...when wearing this you run the danger of being asked if you are an air force pilot...the 'civi' version here of the actual A-2 issue is only different in that it does not have the neck hook closure (which can't be seen anyway), and it has handwarmer side entry pockets hidden under the outside pockets...i like them hidden since the jacket then looks totally mil issue...this not only looks authentic, it will make you feel authentic...can you guess i love it?

I love this jacket. The leather is top rate, soft but sturdy, with a nice grain.
The fit is more modern than the WWII A-2's, but more military than "mall" jackets.
