Incredibly detailed, Buffalo Soldiers Shield Cap pays tribute to the African American post Civil War Heroes who served on the western frontier building forts, roads, telegraph lines, etc. They also protected the railroad crews, settlers and cattle drives, and escorted stagecoaches and rail cars. These soldiers were instrumental in helping to expand the western frontier from Montana to Texas.

Black wool blend Cap is distinctively embroidered with three-dimensional Buffalo Soldiers shield in front, gold & blue embroidered brim with year 1866, 9th & 10th Cavalry logos and others on back and sides, and 1866 date on adjustable size tab. One size fits all.
